The 34Moves Manual is part art object, part manifesto, part manual for living well in a complicated world. Rooted in movement but expansive in scope, the Manual brings together science, story, culture, and the body as lived experience. It’s designed to be read slowly, revisited often, and carried into real life — on the mat, off the mat, in the kitchen, on the bus, and everywhere in between.

    Myth 2: It’s “just for women.”
    Pilates was developed by a man, originally for strength, rehabilitation, and conditioning. It’s about control, power, and efficiency — for every body.

    Myth 3: If you’re not shaking, it’s not working.
    Pilates doesn’t always scream. Sometimes it whispers — and your deep core answers. The work happens beneath the surface, building strength that lasts.

    Myth 4: You need fancy kit.
    Mat Pilates can be brutally effective with nothing but gravity, breath, and good cueing. No machines required, just mindful movement.

    Myth 5: Pilates is easy.
    It’s low impact, not low effort. Precision, focus, and control make it deceptively challenging — and deeply effective.
